Tired... exhausted...I can't believe they asked me to work 12 hours today!!!I have no more energy....so I told them... 8 hours is fine... I haven't got any breaks... and we were so busy!!!!
Actually, the main reason about declining an overtime pay because of FRIENDS.. although when I got home it was past 8 PM already...I only had the chance to see half of it...and my brother wasn't home either to tape it...He usually does that for me because I always work late on Thursdays...
Pinay Pie....was alright...I still like Tanging Ina better than this one...That wraps up my day....and I need to get a good night sleep...for tomorrow's event!!! Good Night!!!

Schools are still close.. and it's time for me to give my car a bath! and do the laundry....I'm back to my routine!!!

School is suspended until further notice...I am starting to worry...The brush fire is starting to get worst....the Fire Department haven't contain it yet...
I remember the Mt Pinatubo eruption years ago, the atmosphere looked exactly like it....except for the smoke-smelling air....It is dark outside...it's gloomy for the usual 12 noon...and everything looked orange...I miss the sun and the fresh air....I felt so bad for those who lost their homes...this is so horrendous!.... I wish I could help them in some way...
I still can't believe this is happening....sorry, I sounded so sad... I just want to share my feelings and thoughts about this issue...it is so surreal!

Last night, as I was listening to the latest news, it has been released that the cause of fire was an ignition from the hunter who was from Ramona that started Saturday night...but around 3AM that Sunday, Santa Ana winds started to contribute to this massive brush fires....they didn't mention the guy's name and he's under custody right now...

I am still in shock and this is very heart breaking....

SAN DIEGO - The hot Santa Ana wind driving wildfires across parts of Southern California eased Monday but officials warned that there was still a threat from the flames that had devoured entire neighborhoods and killed at least 13 people.The Santa Ana wind season usually stretches from September through February, with October often the strongest. The rainy season could start any time but heavier rainfall is not likely until January. The blazes had charred more than 400,000 acres, or 625 square miles — more than half the size of the state of Rhode Island — of dense, dry brush and trees. More than 7,000 firefighters battled the spreading flames.

Right now, eveything is covered with ashes... I don't even bother to wash my car because the ashes won't stop falling...The air isn't good for the lungs so the Department of Health ordered the residents with respiratory problems to wear masks...I think it will take a while before everything gets back to normal...We are not sure if we are going to have school tomorrow....coz most schools were used as an evacuation center....
*sigh*

Daylight Savings Time had just ended...I don't feel so much change with my circadian rhythm which is good... I think only when we have to switch to DST, then I have the hardest time to adjust...
When I woke up this morning (7AM), I felt so weird...it seems windy and gloomy outside.... I then went to get the newspaper by the door and noticed the atmosphere... IT WAS DARK, it looked like that there was a storm coming or even a hurricane.....it looked so horrifying...
I bothered my brother about this "phenomenon".. and he too was surprised why eveything looked so different... we decided to turn on the TV right away to see what's goin on...
There was a fire on the west side of our place that started around 3 AM, we taught it was just like the ones before where it involves the mountains but it's not....there were actually three locations of fire and it is spreading so fast....around 9 AM we were almost ready for church but the thing was....the fire started to move towards our place... ashes started to pour and the air doesn't smell so good because of the smoke....as we listen to the breaking news, everyone in San Diego county were requested to stay in their homes until we get notified by the police to evacuate....My dad told my mom to get our passports and green cards ready just in case.... I also had my laptop in place, ready to grab...(I thought of saving this one because I still have to pay for it! *lol*)...
We are still in tune with the TV as of now, schools are suspended for tomorrow....the freeways are closed... and all we need to do now is PRAY and hope that the fire will be extinguished.....

I did went to see Scary Movie 3 with my brother after picking him up at school...I didn't like it ...I was impressed with the way they copy Samara of The Ring....it looked pretty much like her...but funnier in some sense...I just wasted $14 ...plus my very precious time!
We got at the movie theater an hour and a half early so we decided to sneak to one of the movie house....Mystic River with Sean Penn and Kevin Bacon... I think it's a good one...although we only saw half of the movie... it was interesting... and I like Sean Penn's movies... he is a very good actor! Remember, I am Sam?

This weekend will be a very hectic one, I have loads of paper and reports to finish besides, the studying that I need to do.......gotta bounce now!

It's payday!!!!!!
I'm glad I have enough to pay off my bills! just enough.... I don't have anything left for shopping... or even to watch Scary Movie 3 tomorrow!!... I hope someone will treat me so I can see it!!! The previews are so inviting...I really really want to see it!!!!!!!!
I can't barely move...because of body pains caused by the YOGA yesterday!!!!! I know you doubting about it coz I can still move my fingers to type this post... *lol*

The YOGA Session
Before, mountain hiking was the most difficult thing I did in my entire life...We're talking about the first time here.... but Mahn! YOGA!!! rocks! it was now the most difficult thing I did in my entire life!!!!!!!!!!! We entered a room which is 105 degrees (Fahrenheit) it's like going on a picnic on a dessert!... it was really toasty..We are all sweating even before we started the session...it lasted for 90 minutes!!!!!!!! I thought I'm gonna pass out! It was hot...and I am craving for air!!!!!! cool air!!!!!!! After the session, I looked like I just went swimming... my hair was so wet, my shirt, and my sweatpants!!!!!! On the contrary with all this whinnings, it felt so good and realxing afterwards....you can actually feel your heart pumping blood throughout the body and the breathing...the pulse! All feels soooooooooooo good......
For now, I need to get a break first... maybe a month or two... then I might enroll in a Yoga class for good... doing the session for at least once a week besides my regular workouts...

My problem now is to get someone to go with me as my yoga buddy... Any volunteers? LoL

I'm bored!!!!!!!
I still haven't got any calls from the jobs I applied..... oh well...

I took the test this morning... I am not sure if I'm gonna pass....I just want to keep my fingers crossed...
The topic was about the use of marijuana for lessening the pain of AIDS and cancer patients... It's really hard for me to organize my thoughts especially that the test was timed....you only have one hour to construct a well written essay... I enjoy my English class but writing essays are the most difficult for me! I'd rather go for a bunch of Math problems than construct an essay for one hour... If I'm gonna do a really impressive essay, I need at least three days to organize my ideas and thoughts, and then another day or two to finalize it!

My brother's team won the 4th place in basketball....actually, I didn't go there to watch concentrately on their games but to take a glance to my crush...Remember the dentist I used to talk about that has this really really cute smile... unfortunately, he was not able to attend the championship... too bad!

It's Friday night....and to think I don't have any gimmicks...I did a very funny thing though...

After waking up from a nap...I turned on the TV to watch the reruns of FRIENDS while cooking spaghetti for our dinner....Then..I browsed through my DVD/VHS collection and thought of watching one...

So I decided to watch.........

The Wedding Singer...I love this movie although it's not one of my favorites...It's so cute....I enjoyed the part where the old lady sings to her husband on their 50th Anniversary and sheesh...she sang Til There Was You, the song I wan't to sing to my future husband on our Wedding day!...so there..I was all mushy! and stuff Until the part that he saw her by the window smiling thinking she really want to marry this jerk.. I was actually crying...
The worst thing was the last part... when he was singing Grow Old with you...Oh my goodness...I just can't help it!!! Tears just started to flow .......

BTW, I am all by myself this evening so I don't have to worry about someone seeing me cry like a baby.. but I shared it with you.. so what the heck! right!

So there goes my Friday night...
Got to sleep now, I have to take a test tomorrow at SDSU...need some Brain power..bye!

job hunting!!!

Hi!!!!

I had a very busy day yesterday.... did the laundry, ironed my uniforms, and washed my car....
There have been a rally going on with the three major grocery stores... and it started last Sunday...it's too bad that they're trying to convince every grocery shopper not to go and buy stuff....and what happen was... the stores had an abrupt hiring of new employees just to cover the shifts and to keep the store going....I wonder how long this thing will last...the stores were Ralphs, Vons, and Albertsons

I also heard a news that a fellow pexer's dad had passed away...I called him last night to give my condolences to him and his family....

Everything went great in my clinicals today...I am happy that the patients assigned to me are not that dependent and they're mentally active...Then I went to see my doctor to have my check up....Goodness!! I was misinformed...my appointment is scheduled the 4th of November! what's wrong with me and what in the world am I thinking the day I made the appoinment...!!! hahaha!!!
My Recreation instructor confirmed that we're going to have our YOGA session next Tuesday...I can see lots of stretching here and there... *lol*. She also handed out the results of last weeks exam... I thought I did really bad especially with the matching type... but I was suprised to see my test! Deng! I did pretty good...

I need to work more hours now, Christmas is just around the corner...and I don't want to use too much of my credit cards... I have had enough already and I don't want to spent the whole next year paying off my balances... so tomorrow, I might drop by at the employment agency and look for a better paying job...

ok dokie... that's my story for the day...

PS... I didn't know that keeping a journal helps to reduce stress...oh look at that...I believe so.... it works for me!

We had Clergy Appreciation at the church today.... and we headed for the park after the service for our PARTY!!!

Lots...lots...lots.... of food! we had games ad of course the main event was the testimonies from the members about the Pastors...

The person I expected to come wasn't there..... oh well....he might be busy or something...

I'm done with my interview...I learned a lot from my Lola...all I need to do now is finish up my report... and Walah! all set!

Got to do my readings though... but it's late already...I hope they (my work) won't call me tomorrow... It's Columbus Day... sheesh! it's not holiday... it's only observed...I guess the US doesn't care who discovered them...I'm just gonna mind my own business then...

Ready for my weekend? .....nah.....I have to finish my report that's due on Tuesday... I have to interview my Lola about life...then discuss it in a four-page essay...

I was exhausted at work today.. I started at 7 and I only got a 10 minute break...Remember? I used to complain about my other job before... goodness! I thought I got out of this kind of "slavery"...

I just hoped for a very good night sleep tonight!!! I need to gain energy!!!!I have a few breakouts already... and usually it means that I need to get some rest....

Whew!!! I just got home! from work and school!

Thursday
Our last day of clinicals for this week...and the end of my duty to my patient.. next week... it's gonna be two new patients to take care of...
I don't know if I want to do this CNA thing after I finished the course...It's really hard...and to think that all the dirty work are the CNA's duties...No wonder Nursing school requires the students to get this certification first before entering the program...Lucky those LVN's.. Mahn! all they do for thier shift was to pass medicines.. I want that kind of job...but now I realized that I need to pursue my degree wo I won't be stuck to this kind of job.....Oh well...

Today
At last... it's weekend... no school... only work.. but I'm happy because I can get more rest...hopefully(*crosses fingers*)... When I got off at around 1:30 PM in school, went home and changed to get ready for work...then I dropped a parcel in the post office before going to work. I did a major grocery shopping for my Aunt who is in Baghdad right now...she asked me to some errands for her...Homigawd! the postage was so expensive! I spent $29.00...That's fine...she was my favorite auntie...and she used to spoil me when she was still here...hahahha.. just returning the favor in short...
I also got a call from Roma.. Hey gurl1 if you read this.. I'm sorry I wasn't able to talk for a while... I was at work and we're so busy...

When I got home, my brother borrowed the DDR from my cousins... I remember that this was the coolest thing in the Philippines before I left....They even have a contest at Eat Bulaga....This gonna be a very very good exercise!!! *lol*

Anyways, got to bounce now...

California has a new governor...Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger yup.. that's right! The former TERMINATOR guy is now the new governor of my beloved State of California...I'm not really into politics.. but I hope he can resolve all the current issues especially the deficit....

Homigawd! I'm starting to worry....The money I deposited yesterday didn't get through my online account yet...

Aaarrghhhhh!!!!!!!!!! I feel like banging my head against the walls! this migraine does really hurt!

Monday
a very busy day... CHORE day!!!
I cleaned up my room... made some reaarrangements...I love doing this.....I moved my bed..and then changed all the linens, pillowcases, and my comforter...it's now nice...and comfy...


While cleaning, I get to do the laundry... I had two loads...
After cleaning, I went to do car wash... a full detailed one...with the interior and exterior of my car...

I also did some ironing...
Then spent 4 hours for studying... and went with my mom to do grocery shopping!

Today
It was our second day for our clinicals... everything went well...
I had a test in my Recreation class...then headed home.... I don't feel like going out because of this terrible headache!

That's gonna be the highlight of my day!..

The love of my life.....the apple of my eye!!!!!!!...
Aaarrghhhhh......for the nth time...we still haven't had the chance to talk...I mean .. to have a very friendly conversation....I need the GUTS..... I don't know.. what's wrong with me...Me? a shy person? err.. I don't think so....but how come... starting a conversation with this guy seems to be the hardest thing to do!!!!C'mon Abby.. you can do it! ....words that disappears everytime I see him...

My friend asked me if I wanted to go for some Vietnamese soup...Though, I really wanted to go... I can't..I have to stay home so that I will feel better tomorrow....

Friday
First day at CASA De Las CAMPANAS....Everyone was so excited wearing our white uniform.. It was so overwhelming though...by the end of the day, we have to find our own patient to take care off...
I also didn't go to work yesterday.. coz I'm still sick..I just need to force myself to attend CASA so I won't miss anything...


I still wasn't able to go to work...But see, I'm really really am a bad girl...still trying to make time posting and going online instead of resting...

GTG, I have to fix my stuff for tomorrow's Sunday School lesson! bye!

I have to watch TV tonight.... I can't miss any episodes of FRIENDS because this is their last season!!! I still haven't had the chance to buy their newly released DVD episodes...Wow! I can have that as one of my wish list this coming Christmas....

I did some ironing today... my SCRUBS I should say..
I am so excited to wear that tomorrow at school... Our first day of clinicals!!!

I went to work earlier this afternoon and so far... I am beginning to like it...There were lots of cuties but the problem is... ALL WERE MINORS!!!!! high students!!! I still look for another job though which is closer here in our place... I consume too much gasoline and to think that I am underpaid! hahaha! I think I am!!!

Halloween is coming up... Oh I forgot... DST will end soon...Aargh! I have to adjust again when it comes to time!
I don't know my plans yet this coming halloween but I heard this cool place downtown which they told me is really freaking scary! I still want to go to Sea World, too to try their new 4D haunted house...
Oh well....

we had our picture IDs taken today!!! I look so horrible!!! so was the rest of the class....It's too dark and there's no enough lighting or I should say... she didn't use any flash at all!!! I felt so bad with my classmate who's black American because he was so pissed that he doesn't even recognize his own face...

I had a fever last night....too bad, I was not able to study for my test this morning... I still did good though... Thank God it's not that hard!...I had a hard time concentrating to what the teacher had discussed because I'm still sick...

Don't worry, I took a couple of tylenols already... all I need was a good night sleep...and I won't be getting that until Saturday night! *sigh*
